Monday, February 7th, 2011Yesterday my father accompanied me to Phulbani, the district head quarter of Kandhamal.
There is one bus named Dixit from cuttack to Phulbani. It goes via Dasapalla.We stayed there with a friend of him. The current BJP, MLA of G. Udayagiri was sentenced today regarding the 2007 Kandhamal riots .
With all these and Maoist bandh call in background we went to G. Udayagiri CHC for joining. I joined at the CHC in the forenoon and completed the paperwork there and found a house to live in.
Got a ply-wood cot, a LCD Tv and TATA Sky.
So I hope my life becomes Jinga lala.

Kalahandi becomes Kandhamal

People at secretariat are very good, it is entering the premise and getting hold of them is just difficult.
Anyways, I shall discuss the hassles of entering the Orissa Secretariat some other day.
So all in all I get my rectified order of joining.

First visit to PHC (N), Kalinga
Tuesday, February 1st, 2011Today along with Badapa I hired an ambassador car to Kalinga. But at Bolagarh there was a strike because some villages have been changed to be under different blocks. Anyways we had to take a detour in the mountains and jungles of Nayagarh.
Kalinga Ghat is 10 kms long. There is only uphill journey as the ghat acts as a lift from plains to hilly areas of Kandhamal. Atmosphere is cool. It is a hill station, just not developed or marketed.
Returned the same day.

OPSC results are out
Thursday, January 27th, 2011Today OPSC has announced the posting of 311 doctors as Asst. Surgeons in various Govt. Hospitals across Orissa.
My posting is at PHC (N), Kalinga in the District Of Kalahandi, which is actually wrong. Kalinga is in the district of Kandhamal .
Anyways I have to rectify the typo in the Secretariat.
